There are many different types of lure – plugs, spinners, pirks, feathers and redgills to name just a few. Most anglers have their favourite lure – normally the one they’ve had most success with when fishing. The use of lures for different types of fishing can be broadly broken down into three main categories: Sea fishing from the shore and boat for popular species like Bass, Cod, and Pollack, And in the River for Pike, Trout and Salmon.
