What are fishing lures?

If your new to lure fishing then I’ll quickly explain what a lure is.

A lure is usually an artificial imitation of a small (normally a bait fish like a sand eel) fish that anglers cast out and retrieve. Due to the enticing swimming action and colours bigger fish are attracted to them and end up hooking themselves.
