Cod lures
Cod lures are generally very different from Bass, Pollack and Pike lures. This is because Cod are fished from a boat in deep water (usually
an old wreck). Because cod are in deep water and they are generally much bigger fish that you would catch from
the shore a bigger lure is needed.
These lures are know as Pirks and are quite unique in the fact they are pretty boring lumps of metal that have to weigh a lot so they get down deep enough top the Cod - A 30grm Toby lure would quite be enough in 50ft of water! Cod pirks are quite cheap and simple because they often get snagged and lost on the wreck. You can catch other fish like Pollack and bass on pirks.
